Santa Vittoria is a typical Tuscan farm founded at the beginning of the XVIII century on the Valdichiana hills in Foiano della Chiana district, at 300 m above sea level. For hundreds of years vineyards have been the natural landscape here, as in the region of Chianti to the north and of Montepulciano to the south.
Santa Vittoria is property of the Niccolai family. Marta Niccolai took over the estate in 1995 with the assistance of her father Francesco.
Essential for the excellence of the wines is the longstanding experience of Emilio Parati in the vineyards and in the cellar, with the technical enological support of young Claudio Guerrini. Consultant enologist is Gianni Iseppi. Guido Busatto, our consultant for the last years, is enologist for Paradigma Alliance, distributor of Santa Vittoria wines mainly on the English and North American markets.
At the moment the estate covers 35 ha of specialized vineyards replanted with traditional and international vines.
Since 1991 Santa Vittoria is partecipating to experimental projects of Regione Toscana and Provincia di Arezzo to improve wine production.
In 2003, Santa Vittoria was awarded with the prize VINI DI TOSCANA 2003 by the Regione Toscana for making itself “conspicuous in research, innovation and quality wine production”.
